You must create a faction to play this game! You might be wondering, "what is a faction?" Well, let me tell you...
***There is an example faction in the next post***

A Faction, in terms of this game, is a collection of individuals with some sort of head or governing body which is large enough to exert its willpower to cause a noticeable effect in the game world. All player factions will consist of City-States, possibly even larger Nation-States as the game progresses. There are other types of factions as well, such as trade organizations, mercenary companies, or even assassin guilds.

What follows is a step-by-step process for creating your faction.

(1)Name
You must name your faction. There are no hard constraints as to what you may name your faction, but making it fit with the established fluff is preferred.
*Admins/Moderators may require name changes if necessary

(2)Faction Flag/Banner
Create a flag or some other type of banner for your faction and choose two primary colors to represent it.

(3)Point Distribution
On start, each player has six points to distribute among the following choices: Military, Trade(Guild), Order(Law), Intelligence(Agency), Religion(Temple), Industry(University), and Magic(Magic Academy). The distribution will be used to determine the starting leaders for the faction and the levels of holdings on start. Putting no more than two points into any category is recommended, especially for Military.

(4)Faction Specials
Create two of your own special/unique bonuses for your faction. The final mechanics of these will be negotiated by the Administrators/Moderators. Examples of bonuses could include bonuses such as allowing twice as many Levees to be raised when a city is under attack, or a bonus to happiness.

(5)Faction Government Type
Choose a type of government for your faction. It could be a dictatorship, it could be feudal, etc. The choice is yours.

(6)Faction Description
Give a description of your faction. How/Why was it formed? What are the core characteristics of its culture? When determining the description of your faction, a good starting point would be to decide what empire(they are Eastern or Western themed) it's inhabitants are originally from, and what type of settlement it started from. Was it an imperial colony? Was it formed by a breakaway faction of the empire? Shipwrecked survivors? Magi looking for a place free of interruption? A Madman trying to form a perfect society? You get the picture.

(7)Leader/PC Name
Your faction must have a singular leader and you shall assume the role of this leader. In the cases where there are multiple individuals ruling, you must create multiple characters, yet will still only have one PC(Player Character).

(8)Leader/PC Class
Your PC automatically starts as either a Level 2 Governor or General. Alternatively, your PC may start as a Level 1 leader of any other class.

(9)Leader/PC Description
Describe your character in under three paragraphs, if you wish to. (Bonus points for flavor!)

(10)FoundingCity Name
Name your city! The name should be in the same vein as the name of your faction.

(11)City Location

Place your city somewhere on the map!

After you have finished this, post what you have completed in your private forum(It will have your name on it and be posted as a subforum in Play). There is still more information that is needed to complete your Faction Thread, but it will not be included until after the above has been approved by an Administrator or Moderator. Following approval, an administrator or moderator will help you finish the rest of the information.

Henry is an eccentric leader, often spending absurd amounts of resources on grand personal projects. While he is in the seat of ultimate power within Superior, he largely lets High Command of Superior make most of the decisions and only steps in when he feels it necessary, and to acquire funds for the aforementioned projects. He wishes to bring order to the world through unification under either Superior or one of its allies, which he believes work towards the greater good of all sentient beings by improving technology and keeping magic under a close eye.
